Responsibilities: housing hygiene inspections and compulsory cleanings in Turku City area
Health inspectors conduct a housing hygiene inspection if there is a justified reason to assume that the dwelling causes a health hazard to its inhabitants or neighbours. Requests for action should be submitted in written form by mail or email. In addition to the health inspector, the owner of the dwelling or his/her representative as well as the property manager will be present in the inspection.
You should primarily contact the property manager responsible for the maintenance of the property or the owner. The property manager’s responsibility is to inspect the dwelling under suspicion and to make the necessary construction technical inspections and measurements in order to decipher and exclude flaws. If you think that the actions taken were not adequate and problems continue to occur, please contact the health inspector.
