Präkäämö – Young people`s own art workshop
Präkäämö is a handicraft workshop for 10–18-year-olds, where you can carry out your own ideas through changing themes.
A youth card is required to participate in Präkäämö.
Activities with the youth card are free of charge. Some supplies have a small material fee.
A free youth card can be obtained from the 1st floor service point.
As a service of the City of Turku and due to stricter covid-19- restrictions we oblige everyone over the age of 12 to use the mask.

Art and time together
Sunday in Vimma invites you to spend a relaxed Sunday doing art and things together.
At the Event of the Day, which takes place once a month, the agenda includes art workshops and a changing program organized by young people with their own event and activity team, i.e., Ta & to.
The next Sunday in Vimma 3.4.2022 and 15.5.2022.

Open pottery and glazing
Handbuilding clay and use of potter`s wheel. Suitable for beginners, instructors will help you get started.
Affordable exercise all season long with a single load!
The affordable Student Wristband is intended for students in upper secondary education (general upper secondary schools and vocational schools) and higher education institutions. The wristband encourages the user to exercise when it best suits their schedule. The Student Wristband is valid for six months from the date of purchase, and the user can use it once a day to access a sporting facility of their choice. The right to purchase the product requires a valid student card or certificate to be presented.
A youth card is personal and free of charge, and it can be granted to young people between the ages of 9 and 18. The card can be used to participate in the operations of youth centres and to receive discounts in events organised by the regional youth work as well as benefits offered by companies.
The card is valid for one school year at a time. The cardholder’s information is checked and the card updated with a school year sticker every year.

Furniture: Tables, chairs and sofas. One wall of the hall is covered with mirrors.

Other things to consider: The facilities are accessible
The rentable facilities comprise an arts and crafts room, group room, club cafeteria, kitchen, and the banqueting hall. The banqueting hall is ideal for larger events because of its portable furnishings, and also for dance practice because of the mirrors that cover one entire wall. The facilities of Teräsrautela Youth Space are suitable for meetings and parties.
Runosmäki Youth Space is located in the middle of Runosmäki, along the Piiparinpolku walkway. Due to its central location it is easy and safe for also the smaller ones to come visit the youth space. The banqueting hall has a stage for e.g. performances.

Pansio Youth Space is located next to Pansio sports field. It is along the routes of buses number 42 and 99.
Paattinen Youth Space is located in the Paattinen Community Centre. The facilities are rented for parties and meetings, among other things.

Jyrkkälä Youth Space is located on the other side of the road from the blocks of flats and Sale (grocery store), next to the football field. It is along the routes of buses number 12 and 61. Next to the building there is a multipurpose field where it is possible to play basketball, floorball, volleyball, and other outdoor games.
Youth spaces or their single rooms can be reserved for singe uses or for regular use. Aura Brewery is part of the music activities of Youth Services. The facilities include two fully equipped training rooms for bands. The rooms are primarily meant for under 18-year-olds. Time slots are given only for complete groups, not for individuals.
Time slots and fees
There are time slots on weekdays between 16.00 and 21.00.
Each young persons who uses the training facilities must pay a half-yearly material fee of 20 euros.
Reservations
Reservations must always be applied for by submitting a written form to Monitori. Fill the application form completely; applications not completed in full will not be processed. Applications are processed in order of arrival - the processing period is three weeks maximum.
Nuortenideat.fi (Ungasidéer.fi) is a free-of-charge low-threshold influencing service where the youth can voice their opinions via enquiries and discussions in Finnish and Swedish.
Nuortenideat.fi is a tool for hearing the opinions of the youth, discussing them, and taking them into account in decision-making. The aim is to offer the youth happy experiences of participation and an accessible and democratic channel of influencing.

Kutteri (208 m2) is the newest building in Ahtela and is excellent for e.g. events of work or recreation groups.
The building by the sea is equipped with:
- 3 toilets (1 accessible toilet)
- an electric sauna
- a dressing room
- a kitchen
- a meeting room for 40 people
- a fireplace
- a video projector
- a large balcony for approximately 20 people
Kompassi has the following equipment:
- Accommodation for 30 people (2 bedrooms) (mattresses, blankets and pillows – bring your own bedlinens!)
- Automatic oil heating in the cabin
- An electric cooker, a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, dishes and cooking utensils
- A wood-heated sauna, 3 showers,3 toilets, a dressing room, a washroom, toilets, an accessible toilet, a drying cabinet

Nukkumajoki cabin is located in Inari. The area is perfect for hiking and fishing.
Nukkumajoki cabin (160 m2) offers accommodation for 30 people. There are also a separate sauna and an outhouse in the area. The size of the area is 1 hectare. The camping area near the Nukkumajoki lake is in use around the year. The area is owned by the Finnish Forest and Park Service and is rented by Turku City.
Tippsund youth campground is located in Taivassalo by the sea. The area is well suited for camps, school trips and education activities.
There are 8 cabins in the area with accommodation for 6 persons in each, so there are mattresses, blankets and pillows (but no bedlinens!) for 48 people altogether.
Please note!
Vienola campground is owned by the City of Turku and located in Rymättylä, Naantali, by the sea. The size of the area is 4.8 hectares. The cabin (82 m²) can accommodate 18 people.
In addition, there is a beach kitchen and a roofed place for diners in the area. There are also two brews in the area. Vienola is particularly well suited for arranging camp schools and smaller parties as well as for friends to spend the weekend in. The camp site Vienola cannot be reserved from 1 Sebtember to 31 December 2019 because the accommodation premises are being renovated.
Ahtela is a national youth camping centre owned by the City of Turku and located in Sauvo. It is 50 km from Turku and 13 km from the centre of Sauvo. The area is over 40 hectares and the buildings located around the area hold facilities for activities, accommodation, meetings, and dining, as well as washrooms and saunas.
Seven different buildings offer accommodation for 92 people and in summer, when the small cabins are in use, for 112 people.
In summer 500 people can have their meals at once in the maintenance building and under the dining canopies.
