Entry requirements for the pets of Ukrainian refugees

The City of Turku follows the recent guidelines of the Finnish Food Authority regarding the import of animals from Ukraine. Dogs receive echinococcal medication at the border. Other obligations must be handled by the pet owner at the vet's office within three days of arriving in Finland. In Turku, a supervising veterinarian chips and vaccinates pets whose owners are unable to take care of the matter independently.  

Finland’s largest cities support Ukraine with humanitarian aid

The Finnish cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere, Turku, Oulu, Vantaa, Hämeenlinna, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kotka, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Mikkeli, Porvoo and Rovaniemi are preparing to provide assistance to Ukraine. In some of the cities, decisions have been taken today, 28 February 2022, and in others, the necessary decisions are to be taken when the elected bodies next meet. The cities will assist the country of Ukraine and its residents with a sum totalling approximately EUR 1.5 million. Turku will participate with EUR 150 000.
